Muskegon City Council Update

MiSTRA was represented at the recent council meeting in Muskegon; invited by a local STR owner, we spoke at the meeting and encouraged the township to pass the transferability of STR licenses. Feedback received from the local members that they felt our presence made a difference in obtaining the transferability, although only for 1 transfer – it was a contentious issue. Our goal in terms of our advocacy efforts is to be included much earlier – at the planning commission stage but regardless, this was a win for STR in Muskegon.
