Thank You for Joining Us in Grand Rapids – Let’s Keep Building Together!
On Friday, May 2, we gathered for a lively MiSTRA Meetup at the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids. Over 30 short-term rental hosts came together—alongside four MiSTRA board members and three committee members—for an evening of connection, education, and momentum. As the sun set over the city, attendees enjoyed tasty bites from Downtown Market vendors and sweet treats from Crumbl Cookies. The atmosphere buzzed with conversations among fellow hosts, advocates, and newcomers curious about the future of short-term rentals in Michigan. We were especially inspired by a heartfelt message from MiSTRA founding Board Member Carrie Drier, who reminded us how vital it is to stand united through membership to protect the rights of STR hosts across the state. Board Member Jess Wagner also shared key updates from our Advocacy & Legislative Action Committee (ALAC), equipping attendees with the latest on our policy efforts and how to get involved.

Thursday, June 4, at 12:00 PM ET Grab your favorite summertime drink and hop on Zoom to connect with fellow short-term rental hosts and managers! This will be an informal, open-format meetup. Bring your questions and discussion topics, or just come to listen and share.
We know it’s a busy season, so we’ll keep things relaxed and go with the flow based on what the group wants to discuss. If the group gets large, we’ll use breakout rooms to keep the conversation engaging and manageable.
